Upon entering the Kia Seltos, it will feel like no one told it that it’s supposed to be a subcompact SUV. From its exterior to its interior, the Seltos brings so much more. Here are four things we adore about theĀ 2021 Kia Seltos.
1. The Welcoming Interior
You’ll feel right at home when you sit down inside the spacious interior of the Seltos. It rides high like an authentic SUV, and Kia uses that height to create extra interior space. The seats are deep and comfortable, making the Seltos ideal for those long road trips. And drivers will relish the available 10-way power seats with adjustable lumbar support and the available best-in-class 10.25-inch touch screen.
The Seltos can seat five adults comfortably, and taller adults will enjoy the spacious leg and headroom in the back row. The second-row seats even feature reclining back seats as standard features. Behind the second row is a vast 26.6-cubic-foot cargo hold, expandable to 62.8 cubic feet by folding the second row. As a result, the Seltos has more cargo space than any other subcompact SUV (and even some compact SUVs) carries.
2. The Abundant Driver Assist Technology
The vehicle supports drivers with standard advanced safety features, including a rearview camera and a rear-seat reminder. This SUV has an enormous range of available on-the-road advanced safety features like:
- Adaptive cruise control
- Automatic emergency braking
- Automatic high-beams headlamps
- Blind-spot monitoring sensors
- Driver attention monitoring
- Forward collision detection and warning
- Integrated turn signal mirrors
- Lane centering assist
- Lane departure warning
- Lane keep assist
- Rear cross-traffic alert
- Speed limit recognition
- Stop-and-go adaptive cruise control
- Traction control
3. Power and Performance
The Seltos moves with pep and confidence. It uses a 146 hp, four-cylinder engine or a 175 hp, four-cylinder turbocharged engine, depending on the trim. The first engine gives you an EPA rating of 29 MPG in the city and 34 MPG on the highway. With the all-wheel-drive option, you’ll get an EPA rating of 27 MPG in the city and 31 MPG on highways.
The turbocharged engine will give you an EPA rating of 25mpg in the city and 30mpg on the highway. This engine provides more sporty handling and tends to be more fun to drive. However, either option remains very fuel-efficient, and drivers will appreciate the vehicle’s maneuverability, especially around tight spaces.
4. Convenience Technology
Drivers can upgrade their Seltos to include push-button start and automatic climate control. An available sunroof will help the roomy interior of the Seltos appear even roomier. Passengers can also take advantage of the vehicle’s wireless charging tray when interfacing with the SUV. The Seltos supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto; you can access your phone through the Seltos’ touch screen display.
You’ve got to see the Seltos in person to appreciate all that it has to offer. When you’re ready to take a closer look, visit us at Dulles Kia. Our friendly staff will be happy to let you explore our showroom models or arrange a test drive for you.
