“Kia has teamed up with B.R.A.K.E.S. to reduce teen traffic fatalities through hands-on-defensive driving training. The B.R.A.K.E.S. program provides practical training to help teens and their parents make better decisions while behind the wheel.”

So comments Tim Chaney, Kia's vice president of marketing communications, in a recent Kia press release that announces the manufacturer's partnership with B.R.A.K.E.S. for the sake of improving teen driver safety. The organizations are holding a free event in Arizona this weekend, where "nearly 150 Arizona teens and their parents will receive hands-on defensive driving education from B.R.A.K.E.S.’ highly skilled professional instructors, joining the more than 17,000 teens nationwide that have graduated from the intensive half-day training course since 2008."
