Kia further plans to add a performance-based Scorpion trim that will feature 19-inch wheels, a rear spoiler, exhaust tips, and mirrors, all in black.
The GT has heated outside mirrors and 18-inch machined aluminum wheels. A power sunroof and 19-inch machined aluminum wheels add even more style to the GT1 trim. The GT2 trim adds automatic front high beams.
Engine (Power)
The 2022 Kia Stinger offers two choices for the engine and the choice of rear-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive systems. The standard 2.5-liter turbo four-cylinder engine churns out 300 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque, a 45-horsepower increase over last year. The other option is a 3.3-liter V-6 twin-turbo engine that delivers 368 horsepower (13 more than last year) and 376 pound-feet of torque. Both engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Performance
With quick gear shifts, responsive acceleration, and secure braking, the Stinger perfectly showcases its power while remaining comfortable and accessible to newer drivers. Suspension and overall ride quality are great, and rear-wheel-drive models can reach up to 22/32 city/highway mpg with the standard engine.
Interior
The Stinger's interior gives an impression of unassuming, premium quality, particularly in the GT1 and GT2 trims. Leather accents are standard, even in the base models, and ambient interior lighting inside the cabin is now standard for 2022. Kia designed the Stinger with low-sling contoured bucket seating, with just the right ergonomic profile and available 16-way power driver seat controls. Meanwhile, each passenger will be just as pleased with their seats, headroom, and legroom. The rear trunk area holds up to 23.3 cubic feet of space, which is very competitive for a midsize car.
The standard infotainment system has Kia's UVO software with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and can be operated from either an 8.0-inch or 13.0-inch touch screen.
